The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Barry Andrews TD today launched the State of the Nation's Children Report: Ireland 2010.
This Report, which is the third in a biennial series, was compiled by the Office of the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs at the Department of Health and Children, in association with the Central Statistics Office and the Health Promotion Research Centre at National University of Ireland, Galway.(more here + link to the report here)

DIT Library Services has taken out a one year subscription to Searcher, a cross-resource searching tool.Searcher is integrated into the database page of the subject gateways for Art and Design, Criminology and Social Sciences.Searcher allows users to search across up to 16 library databases at once, with more databases to be added shortly. A list of the databases covered is available on the Advanced Search page. Results are ranked by relevance and are clustered by author and topic. By creating a user profile, users can also set up alerts and customised searches.
